Clay is very excited
about our visit this
summer!
I had no idea that around a year and a half ago how easy you all
would be to talk to, and I never imagined that our earlier
conversation's would grow into such strong friendships...

I didn't expect to feel as soon as though I'd known you forever, or
to trust you so easily with my secrets and deepest feelings....

I never suspected that we'd discover so many common interests..
and values, or that I could ever enjoy the simple pleasures again
as much as when they are shared with you.

We have all been through good times and bad, we have all shed a
tear for one another and we have stayed together through it all...

We have all remained to stay friends just the same and all the
good times we share at this one little spot called The Clay Train
Connection.

It's time for me to go.... But before I leave this in-filled page,
There is one more thing you should know...

~Poem~

As long as we are living, No matter when or where. If you ever
need me, Just call and I will be there.

I will climb a thousand mountains, And swim a thousand seas...
Anything to be there, 'Cause you have been there for me.

And since that fateful day We became good friends, A foundation
was laid A wonderful bond on the way.

Our friendship was built to last To be strong and steadfast... I
thank you for all the times When you brought comfort To my heart,
soul and mind.

A thousand miles May come between us... But this very special
bond, A bond of love, A bond of trust, Is connected in our hearts
And nothing can keep them apart.

I value your friendship, Your thoughts and concern, In my heart
I'll always keep This flame of friendship, Never dimming, Always to
burn and burn..

Love....Tina
I never in my wildest dreams thought that when I
joined the Clay Train, that I would meet so many
wonderful ladies as I have met on here. We all seem
to be like a little family, with Clay as the head of it. I
dearly appreciate how you all have sent you prayers
and kind words during this time of Don going
through his Angiogram. They are all really
appreciated. You all have been so kind. I just hope
we can get through it and he can get on with his
back surgery soon. You guys are what is getting me
through all of this. I just can't say thanks enough to
all of you. It really means a lot to me to have you all
as friends. I just hope that someday, we all can meet
at a Clay concert, and possibly be able to meet him
in person. That would be so cool.!!!!!! Wouldn't he
love to have all of his Clay Trainers in one room?

Hugs to all~
Dixie
I've only been here a few months and it feels
like home. I'm sick. I have cancer. And
sometimes I have bad days. I don't worry about
myself. I worry about my family. On those days
it's hard to smile. I have to listen to Clay
singing IWCY. Not all of the girls know I'm
sick. But they can make me feel better. Clay
singing IWCY makes me smile when I don't
feel I can. And the girls make me feel
so special. Each and everyone of them are
very special to me. They take away my sad
face. And sometimes thats hard to do.
I'm so glad I'm here. I love them all
The Clay Train loves you too!
My name is Rosa R. Shurtz.  I have been married for more than 11 years to
a wonderful man named Chad.  We have two wonderful children and a dog
named Summer.  My favorite Celebrity is Clay Aiken.  He’s my one and only
celebrity for always!

and what exactly their duty is on the train.  They all seemed to have so and
what exactly their duty is on the train.  They all seemed to have so much
fun.  I wanted to have fun too so I joined them.
much fun.  I wanted to have fun too so I joined them.

After finding out that some of the jobs on the train were just for fun, I soon
found myself with a new job as Clay’s Personal Shoe Shiner.  After a while
that title didn’t fit me as well so I found a new fun job on the train.  My new
job is Clay’s Personal Reader.  I would read bedtime stories and messages
that people wanted me to share with him. I really enjoy that and it sure is
fun even though it’s not real.  If children can have fun using their
imaginations, I don’t see why we adults can’t have some fun of our own.   I
am still doing that; but, my real job on the train is Treasurer.  I'm
responsible for the funds we collected and will be collecting for charity
and keeping track of donations that people send in.  It stays in the bank
for another time when we can all vote as a group on what charity we are
going to donate to.

I am an honest, kind, and loving person.  I love everyone no matter what!
Everyone on the train is so kind to me. It became my most favorite place to
be. I know I’m not seeing them face to face but chatting with them over
email is just as great.  I’ve made wonderful friendships here and that to
me is a wonderful treasure that I have found since being a Clay Aiken fan.
I didn’t know there were benefits to liking a celebrity star.  It’s been
wonderful since then.  For almost two years now I’ve remain friends with
everyone on the train.  There are ups and downs that we had to go
through.  Some people left the train to start their own group and some
stayed.  I try to stay in touch with those who left and sincerely appreciate
and love each of them very much.  I'm sorry  that we are in separate
groups but I do understand the need for change.  Changes are good.  Our
group is getting bigger and I’m happy here meeting the new people who
joined us and will be joining us later on.

One of the reasons why I really like it here on the train is the charity work
we do.  It’s been a dream of mine to give and help make a difference.  I’ve
done it many times and am continually doing it still through my church and
local areas but to be doing it as a group of Clay fans is such wonderful
thing to me.  I really am thankful that there are so many people here who
have such generous and giving hearts.  We always have a desire to give
and help others when we can.  I know everyone is here to support and
promote Clay Aiken in all things and I am very glad to be one of them.  It’s
so special to me to be here and to be doing this.

I hope that the train will be here for many years to come because its one
of the best places I’ve ever been a part of.  It is such a close knit group
because we love to help Clay.  Making a difference is wonderful when you
do it all together.  My life is fully enriched by the friendships being made
right here on the Clay Train Connection.  Thank you to everyone who has
been here for me.

Love,
Rosa

Aiken.

After thinking back on my beginnings when I joined The Clay Train
Connection,  I have much for which I am thankful.   I was
overwhelmed that people I didn't know from Adam would in time
become my daily support system.  Collectively, we became a cyber
family sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly.

What first attracted me to The Clay Train's Web site, besides the
GAH Clay pictures, was its "Mission Statement."  I can remember
sitting at my computer desk reading it a few times telling myself,
now here's a group of Clay fans that take Clay's dedication
seriously.  I knew I had found the right place to invest my time.
Once I joined, I made a promise that I would dedicate myself and
follow through with taking pleasure in making a difference with
Clay Aiken and The Clay Train Connection.   I knew one thing I
could give and promise to do was to keep my word and carry out
my pledge of being faithful in making a difference.  I feel so far, I
have accomplished and fulfilled my Clay Train pledge.  It's not
hard to do when we realize that Clay Aiken is a one man American
vision who gives us cause to celebrate and work together.

Clay has taught us if we take care of our own character, our
reputation will take care of itself.  Give the world the best you
have, and the best will come back to you.
Always remember desire is the key to motivation, but it's the
commitment that will finally help us reach our goal.  A commitment
to excellence that will enable our group to attain the success we
seek.  We loved Clay Aiken immediately and simply knowing he is
alive in the world is quite enough.

To Clay:   Show me "The Way"
Not to fortune & fame, not how to win laurels, or praise for my
name.
But show me "The Way" to spread the great story
That thine is the Kingdom, Power, and Glory.

Being a part of the Clay Train Connection has
changed my life tremendously!!  I enjoy this
train so very much.  All the girls are so kind
and thoughtful.  I feel like we are all family.  We
are all here to love and support Mr. Clay Aiken.
It is such a comforting feeling to know that we
share this camaraderie.  We laugh together,
and cry together.  We pray for each other and
lend support whenever and wherever we can.
We are a special breed, and thanks to OMC,
we have come to know each other in this
special way.
